The Medical Front Office individual plays a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and visitors in a medical practice. This individual is responsible for managing patient intake, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the front desk. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills are essential for providing excellent customer service and supporting the overall success of the practice.

Responsibilities/ Job Duties (not limited to the following):

  • Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and provide information to patients
  • Verify patient insurance details and update records accurately
  • Manage patient check-in/check-out procedures and ensure timely appointment flow
  • Maintain office supplies and assist with clerical duties as needed
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff to coordinate patient care

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Personality is everything - someone who is warm, friendly, reliable, teachable
  • 6-12 months of Medical Front Office experience is preferable, but not a hard "must-have" with the right personality fit
  • Comfortable with Authorizations and Benefit/Eligibility
  • High school diploma or GED
