Job description

Job Title: Patient Scheduler

Work Location: Lenexa, KS (66215) ONSITE

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Job Description: We are hiring Patient Schedulers to join a Ophthalmology clinic in Lenexa, KS 66215. Previous scheduling experience is not required, as training is provided.

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

  • Schedule patient appointments.
  • Demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness and an understanding of multi-line telephone
  • procedures.
  • Answer telephone within 1-3 rings with a professional greeting.
  • Screen telephone calls and assure all messages are understandable and delivered.
  • Obtain patient information by interviewing patients and verifying information for appointment scheduling and clinical messages.
  • Obtains referring doctor information by answering telephone calls; interviewing referring office for screening emergent and non-emergent patients to be added to the clinic schedule.
  • Route medical inquiry calls to the appropriate clinical staff member.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
  • Communicate in a professional manner.
  • Maintain proper attendance requirement.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • GREAT tenure
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
