Job description

This is a fully onsite opportunity with a growing healthcare organization in Raleigh NC!

Pay - 17 to 20 an hour based on prior experience

Shift: 7:45 am - 5pm M - F

Office is located in Raleigh NC 27609

Job Summary

The call center representative works directly with patients and physicians to provide customer service for patients via telephone interactions. The call center representative will gather patient information, and schedule appointments. Call center representatives may fill in at the front desk occasionally.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Ensure patient information is accurate including billing information
  • Inform patients of medical office procedures and policy
  • Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records
  • Send patient and referring providers information as needed
  • Obtain external medical reports and maintain patient records as required by medical professionals
  • Respond and comply with requests for information
  • Maintain a clean and neat work space
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, or related experience
  • Strong interpersonal customer service skills, including effective listening, clear verbal and written communication, problem solving skills
  • Ability to master multiple software systems to input and retrieve data
  • Ability to master ophthalmology and retina terminology

Preferred Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical practice
  • Bilingual - Spanish

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally via telephone
  • Frequent use of computer terminal to read and write
  • Frequent bending, reaching, sitting, repetitive hand movements, and lifting up to 10lbs
Qualifications:
  • Receptionist, call center, customer service or medical administrative experience
Nice to have skills but not required:
  • Bilingual
