Part Time Scheduler

Position Title: Scheduler (Part Time)

Location: Phoenix, Arizona (85032) - FULLY ONSITE

Pay: $18-$21/hour (depending on years of experience)

Job Description:

• • Take inbound calls from patients and make outbound calls to patients (about 100 calls/day, mostly inbound)
  • Calls will be with patients looking to schedule appointments (new and existing patients)
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Take down messages for providers and appropriately document them in the system
  • Read and understand contracts with Insurance companies (be able to tell a patient if their insurance is accepted and if they are in-network or out of network)
  • Transferring calls to other departments as needed
  • Currently working with Athena EMR
  • Provide patient education regarding how to understand their Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
  • Provide requested documentation and records
  • Verify insurance
  • Provide patient estimates
  • Provide one call resolution to patient inquiries whenever possible and perform timely follow up on inquiries requiring escalation or additional research
  • Follow up on all patient voicemails daily within 24 hours

Schedule: PART TIME Monday-Wednesday 8AM-5PM

Must Haves:

• High school diploma/GED
• 1+ years healthcare experience (scheduling, front office, etc.)
• Someone who had experience on the phones dealing with a high volume of calls

Soft Skills:

• ATTENDANCE and reliability
• Energetic on the phones
