Mental Health Case Aide - Spanish

Medix is looking to hire a Spanish bilingual Case Aide to join a well-established non-profit Mental Health Center in Los Angeles, CA 90023.

Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively support the adult population 18-59 with mental health disorders, ensuring their engagement and well-being.
• Participate in group meetings and work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of Case Managers, Clinical Social Workers and Therapists.
• Work alongside with other Case Aides to ensure safety of clients at all times.
• Provide assistance to clients by escorting them in company-provided vehicles to doctors appointments, DMV, and/or stores for personal/incidental needs.
• Record daily activities and changes in client behaviors in the EHR (electronic health record) system.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Assist in facilitating group activities, while also providing transportation and supervision for outings as needed.

Requirements / Experience:

• Bachelors in Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or some type of Behavioral Health
• Experience working in an Outpatient clinic setting with Homeless Services, formerly incarcerated individuals, Law Enforcement, and or Substance Abuse
• Bilingual Spanish
• Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Community Care Licensing (CCL) background clearance.
• Valid California Driver's license.
• TB clearance.
• Driving record acceptable for coverage by company insurance carrier.
• Fire and Safety Training*.
• First Aid Training Certification*.
• CPR Certification*.
• Crisis Prevention Institute Training (CPI)**

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday 8:00-5:00 pm

Pay:

• $20.37-22.37/hr BOE
