Job description

Pharmacy Technician - Call Center Role

Overview: We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician for a call center-based role that focuses on patient communication, rather than filling prescriptions. This position involves both inbound and outbound calls, assisting patients with refill eligibility, prior authorizations, and transferring them to nurses or pharmacists when needed. You will follow a script, manage 8-10 calls per hour, and work within set Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle patient calls in a call center environment, following scripted dialogues
  • Assist patients with refill eligibility and prior authorization processes
  • Connect patients with appropriate pharmacy staff or nurses
  • Manage both inbound and outbound call responsibilities
  • Maintain adherence to SLAs for timely and efficient patient service

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Pharmacy Technician License
  • Call Center Experience
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high call volumes
  • Commitment to 24-48 hour follow-up after submission/interview

Schedule:

  • Training: 3 weeks, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Regular Schedule: After training, shifts will likely be 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM. Flexibility for later shifts is required.
  • Important: No time off permitted during the first 4 weeks of training.
