Job description

Summary:
The Scheduling Coordinator within the Oncology Clinic is responsible for providing coordination of the provider's clinic, procedure, and infusion schedules. The Scheduling Coordinator - Oncology Clinic is also responsible for representing the organization in a professional manner, assisting all patients, customers, and guests of the clinic in person, via the telephone, or electronically, acting as a patient advocate, responsible for the patient's introduction to the clinic, determining support service needs, and providing information.

Responsibilities:
- This is a clerical position which is the first line representative to the hospitals, ancillary departments, and community providers.
- This position works as a team member of the clinic.
- This is an advanced clerical position working in a clinic with multiple providers and support staff. Work situations require a poised individual, courteous manner, discretion, organization skills, and good judgment.
- Internal contacts include providers, office staff members, hospitals, ancillary departments, community providers, and management throughout.
- External contacts include patients, scheduling staff from facilities, insurance company representatives and vendors.

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- Two years of clerical experience in a medical environment
- Experience using EPIC (utilizing Cadence and Beacon knowledge) is highly desired
- AA degree in business or medical records management preferred

Soft Skill/Attribute Requirements:
- Multitasking/ does not get overwhelmed easily
- Takes initiative/ Can hit the ground running
- Positive Attitude/ Eager to learn

Schedule/Shift:
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay:
$20 - $28/hr
