Job description

A health center in Renton, WA is looking for a Coding Analyst to join their team.

Brief Description

The Coding Analyst is responsible to review, analyze and code diagnostic and procedural information based on provider documentation to adhere to coding and compliance standards.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive review of patient records to assure appropriate CPT and ICD-10 coding of medical records prior to billing to payers.
  • Provide feedback and communicate with provider and clinic staff to obtain incomplete or missing information needed to process clean claims.
  • Perform periodic audits of provider documentation to adhere to coding regulations.
  • Build relationships by meeting/conferencing regularly with providers to review documentation patterns.
  • Review and collaborate with the billing team on coding related claim denials.
  • Attend scheduled and ad hoc meetings at clinic locations to discuss billing and/or coding related topics.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the mission, core values and goals of the company and its healthcare delivery including the ability to integrate values of integrity, wisdom, creativity, cooperation, responsibility and respect into appropriate programs and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years with HCC coding (risk-adjustment)
  • CPC Certification
  • Provider/internal auditing experience

Additional Skills:

  • Abstract coding experience
  • EPIC experience

Schedule/Shift:

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Hybrid - onsite once per month after training

Contract Length:

1,040 Hours. Opportunity to convert to permanent hire after satisfactory completion of contract.

Pay:

$24.56 - $30 (Dependant on experience)
