Hours: Full-time



Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant in a bustling urgent care and primary care setting. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing top-notch patient care. You will start in our urgent care department, where you will be trained thoroughly and then expand your expertise to support other specialty buildings.



Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care, including blood draws, injections, and triaging.
  • Patient Flow: Manage patient flow efficiently to ensure timely care.
  • Chart Management: Handle patient charts and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Training & Collaboration: Work alongside 3 tenured MAs in Urgent Care who will provide comprehensive training and support.
  • Specialist Support: Provide assistance to rotating specialists from Baltimore, including Ortho and Endo, 1-2 days a week at the Columbia office.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform clerical tasks and utilize EPIC for electronic documentation as per departmental protocols.
  • Other Duties: Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support overall clinic operations.


Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in medical assisting and medical office settings.
  • Certification: Current Medical Assistant certification and CPR certification are required.
  • Skills: Proficient in venipuncture, vital signs monitoring, and medical record management.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with EPIC is a plus.


Schedule

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:45 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Wednesday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM/close
  • Sunday: One weekend shift per month from 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM/close

Pay: $18-22/hr
