Transplant Collector

Medix is seeking a Transplant Healthcare Collections Specialist for a third party revenue cycle company to manage overdue accounts, collect payments, and handle accounts receivable for transplant services. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare collections, particularly in transplant services, insurance collections, and claim management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Resolve overdue bills and collect payments from patients and insurers.
• Audit projects, bill unpaid claims, and follow up on denials.
• Manage accounts receivable and provide detailed reports to management.
• Research, organize, and prepare appeals for denied claims, with ongoing follow-ups.

Qualifications:

• Experience in transplant services and healthcare collections.
• Strong knowledge of insurance collections and billing processes.
• Proficiency with Excel (basic formulas) and MS Teams.
• Ability to work remotely with a flexible schedule (40 hours/week, start times between 6-9 AM EST/CST).
• Hybrid in-office requirement for Houston-based candidates (3 days/week).

Preferred:

• Medical billing experience.
