As a School Nurse, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate health records, managing student health issues, providing on-site medications, conducting health screenings, offering first aid, and facilitating referrals and triage for students and staff in accordance with New Jersey state law. This is a pivotal role that ensures the health and well-being of the school community, while supporting both the physical and emotional growth of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain health records in compliance with New Jersey state and local requirements.
• Provide emergency care for injuries and illnesses using your professional judgment.
• Administer medications and treatments according to approved written policies.
• Perform mandated health screenings, ensuring follow-ups and referrals as needed.
• Communicate effectively with faculty, parents, and students regarding health services.
• Act as a vital resource for students, families, and faculty.
• Compile and submit reports related to services delivered to the Nurse Coordinator.
• Embrace other duties as assigned, contributing to our vibrant school community.

Hours:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8:15 am - 2:15 pm (Elementary School in Camden)
• Wednesday: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm (Kindergarten - 8th grade in Vorhees)

Qualifications:

• Current New Jersey RN License.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
