Job description

Medix is currently hiring for a part time Registered Dietician. This is a fully remote opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct one on one counseling sessions via Zoom
  • Review online client food logs
  • Create individualized client meal plans for weight loss, weight gain, nutrition education, plant-based lifestyles, disease management and sports nutrition.
  • Apply motivational interviewing concepts to help client's problem solve difficult life situations such as social gatherings, eating out, holiday meals and travel
  • Create long term relationships with clients, who you work with 8+ months on average.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree at a US regionally accredited university or college and course work accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Completed an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program at a health-care facility, community agency, or a foodservice corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies.
  • Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Active Registered Dietitian License in PA, NJ or NY
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • 1-2 years of work in a private practice setting
  • 1-2 years of work in a clinical setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
