QA/QC Technician

Job description

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely and accurate analytical guidance and support to both internal and external customers.
  • Implement chemical analytical and physical methods and procedures to ensure conformance to corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in identifying non-conformance(s) and report causes of non-conformance with appropriate QA/QC lead.
  • Assist with special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Schedule and expedite needs from Production, Production Planning, Distribution, and HESS.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Science related degree or 2+ years of experience in science related field.

Work Experience:

  • Basic analytical laboratory experience and knowledge required, understanding of basic chemical processing and process chemistry.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and corrective action
  • implementations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent computer skills with an emphasis in Excel.
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to function as a team member as well as independently with minimal supervision
