Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate supports patient care by assisting with eye exams, performing tests, and ensuring the clinic runs smoothly. They prepare rooms, manage supplies, maintain equipment, and help the medical team during procedures. The technician helps keep the clinic organized and efficient.

Job Duties/Responsibiltes

  • Gather and document patient history, including ocular and general health, allergies, and medications.
  • Perform and record diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, visual fields, motility, and ocular tonometry.
  • Provide compassionate care and assist with patient flow throughout the clinic.
  • Manage clinic operations including room preparation, inventory, equipment maintenance, and rescheduling missed appointments.
  • Assist physicians during procedures and support the ophthalmic photographer as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous healthcare experience required
  • Certified Medical Assistant, preferred.
  • One to Two years' experience ophthalmic assistant, preferred
  • Certification as an ophthalmic assistant, preferred
  • Scribe background, preferred

Schedule/ Shift: M-F / 6:30AM to 6:30PM (must be flexible within these hours)
