Inpatient Phlebotomist
Job description
Title: Inpatient Phlebotomist
Day to Day:
- Performing phlebotomy on all ages (infants to geriatrics)
- Fast pace, drawing all day and also completing EKGs
- Transitioning to all units of the hospital (burn, psy, intensive care, trauma, NICU, etc.)
- Documentation on patients chart in EMR (Epic)
- Good communication and flexiblity is key
Shift:
- Morning / Day shift: as early as 4am - 1pm
- Afternoon / Evening shift: 3pm - 11pm
- *flexibility is important
- 40 hours / week both shift options
- Rotating weekend and holidays (1.5 pay on holiday and OT)
Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy certification or diploma
- BLS certification from AHA
Inpatient experience, must have experience drawing on birth to death patients.
Must have experience doing heal sticks
Nice to Have Skills
- EKG experience
- ASCP certification
- Trauma / Burn experience
