Job description

We are hiring a Medical Office Assistant to join our Greenwood team. This is an exciting opportunity to be cross-trained in three key areas: check-in, rooming, and check-out. This role offers a mix of administrative and patient-facing responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-volume medical office environment.

Responsibilities/Job Duties:

  • Check-In Duties:

    • Greet patients with a positive, welcoming attitude.
    • Collect demographics and ensure visit paperwork is complete.
    • Obtain insurance information and set expectations around wait times.
  • Rooming Duties:

    • Record vitals (height, weight, blood pressure).
    • Conduct scripted intake questions about medical and medication history.
    • Maintain accuracy and professionalism while rooming patients.
  • Check-Out Duties:

    • Assist physicians or APPs in walking patients through encounter sheets.
    • Schedule follow-up appointments, order tests, and coordinate referrals to specialists.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Open to candidates with strong customer service skills and excellent tenure.
  • Candidates with frequent job changes will not be considered.

Schedule/Shift:

  • Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • 401k (eligible on the first 401k open enrollment date following 6 consecutive months on assignment. 401k Open Enrollment dates are 1/1, 4/1, 7/1, and 10/1)
