Medical Assistant

Medix is currently hiring a Medical Assisant with a primary care clinic in the Rosenberg area.

This role involves a mix of front and back office responsibilities, providing an excellent opportunity to support both administrative and clinical operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist patients during check-in and check-out processes.
• Verify insurance information and maintain accurate patient records.
• Follow up on workers' compensation claims to ensure timely resolution.
• Call in prescriptions as directed by the provider.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist in rooming patients.
• Take and record vital signs accurately.
• Provide support during medical procedures as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Medical Assistant diploma or certification (CMA/RMA preferred but not required).
• Strong organizational and communication skills with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Compensation:

• Up to $16 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
