Job Overview:
- Specialty: Orthopedics and Cardiology
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00
- Pay: 20/hr - 21/hr
Job Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Diploma
- Must be open to obtaining CMA or RMA within 1 year of employment
- High School Diploma/GED
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and nurses in both orthopedic and cardiology procedures and examinations.
- Prepare patients for appointments by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is complete.
- Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and post-treatment care instructions.
- Perform basic medical procedures under the supervision of a physician, such as wound care, suture removal, and EKGs.
- Maintain examination rooms and medical equipment to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Manage patient scheduling, including coordinating appointments and referrals between orthopedic and cardiology departments.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns professionally and efficiently, ensuring excellent customer service at all times.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including medical record management, insurance verification, and billing as needed.
