Medical Assistant
Job description
- Will likely spend 3 days at Fishers, and 2 days at Carmel but there won't be a set schedule (In theory, could spend a full week at one location if that is what is needed!)
- Rooming patients - Vitals (Height, weight, blood pressure), medical history, medication reconciliation, taking pictures of legs / veins
- Can expect 10-15 patients/day
- Assisting in minor procedures - Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), Sclerotherapy (injections), compression stockings
- Phone work - Less that 10 calls/day: Following up on post procedure check-ins, medical records, prescriptions)
- Responsible for own charting: Streamline (smaller EMR, specific to their practice), will be trained on this but the Manager did mention that charting can be heavy so they must be OK with that
- 2 Providers at location - Will rotate support, working alongside 1 other MA
- Cleaning/stocking/prepping of rooms
- Certification is not required
