CNC Machinist - 1st shift

Job description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our medical device manufacturing team in Monroe, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience operating and programming CNC machines to produce precision components for medical devices, ensuring that all parts meet stringent quality and safety standards. You will work closely with our engineering and quality assurance teams to support the production of life-saving medical technologies. This would be a first shift position.

Schedule: M-F 6:30 am to 2:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and set up CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines, to manufacture precision medical device components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to produce parts to exact specifications.
  • Perform CNC programming adjustments to optimize machine performance and ensure part accuracy.
  • Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances and quality standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform quality checks using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve technical issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas while adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Document production runs, materials used, and part quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).

Qualificaitons:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prior experience with CNC as a CNC machine operator or machinist
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
