Job description

Title: Clinical Support Specialist

Position Summary: Compassionate and detail-oriented individual with experience providing high-quality patient care in clinical settings utilizing EPIC. Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and assisting with procedures while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.


Day to Day:

  • Patient Care & Documentation: Escort patients to exam rooms, record vitals (height, weight, blood pressure), and document visit information accurately.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by clinicians, RNs, or standing orders.
  • Procedures & Treatments: Assist with treatments such as ear lavage, EKGs, bladder scans, and other clinician-directed procedures.
  • Clinical Quality & Compliance: Ensure completion of standard rooming procedures, including medication reconciliation, allergy review, immunization updates, and necessary forms and questionnaires.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of and adhere to relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care.


Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with a valid state LPN license. BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross, in-person) required. Minimum one year of preferred nursing experience in a related field.

  • Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Medical Assisting program. BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross, in-person) required. One year of preferred experience in a related medical field.

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): High school diploma or GED required. BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross, in-person) required.

  • Schedule options all within Monday - Friday, 6:45am - 6pm!
