Certified Medical Assistant

Medix is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a contract to hire position wtihin a busy primary care clinic in Plano!

Responsibilities/ Job Duties:

• Cross-train in front and back office duties for efficient healthcare support.
• Back office: Vitals, patient intake, vaccines, injections, EKG, spirometry, point-of-care testing, and phlebotomy.
• Front office: Phones, co-pays, patient check-ins, insurance, prior authorizations, and referrals.
• Ensures seamless patient care and administrative efficiency.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements:

• Medical Assistant Diploma AND nationally recognized certification
• BLS Certification
• Must have prior phlebotomy experience

Schedule/ Shift:

• M-F 8a-5p
