Location: 100% Remote - EST hours
FTE Compensation Rate: $225 - $245K + benefits (based on experience)

*note, hourly rates will be commensurate with FTE salary. Benefits are offered if working through W2. Working independently, via an LLC, is also an option

ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE

Medix is currently seeking a VP of Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure for an exciting opportunity to build a team with one of our top healthcare services clients.

Our client is a non-profit healthcare services organization that works in partnership with Health Insurance organizations to offer/ manage a single source of truth data platform and suite of home-grown custom web applications built in the Microsoft Azure / Cloud-Native stack.

This role will be responsible for driving the strategy and execution of an Enterprise Architecture for this product - building a leadership team, and focusing on strategy / execution for an cloud-native product infrastructure roadmap (DevOps, CI/CD). We are seeking individuals who have had a depth of experience within the Healthcare industry, and who have successfully built a team around a product roadmap, specific to Infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serving as an executive team member
• Building and leading a cross-functional team (leaders, security, infrastructure engineering) to execute on an Infrastructure road map
• Creating a strategic plan for the organization's IT structure and operations, with a goal of resiliency, reliability, scalability, robustness, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Selling the vision!! Driving the design and architecture of the company's cloud infrastructure that covers home-grown microservice applications, cloud data / datawarehouse, network, security, and platform deployment (CI/CD, DevOps) solutions.
• Lead a high-performing team of architects, engineers, and technology professionals. Leaning on external dev partners in conjunction with a small team of FTEs.
• Collaborating with the compliance team to implement and maintain robust security measures aligned to HIPAA / HITRUST environments
• Introducing Microsoft Cloud services spanning IT Infrastructure and Platform CI/CD & DevOps environments
• Effectively communicating technology strategies, solutions, and progress to executive leadership and stakeholders - both internal, and external.
• Build strong relationships with business units and external hiring partners
• Working closely with procurement and vendor management teams to negotiate contracts and maintain strong partnerships with technology vendors and service providers.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Required Bachelor Degree (Master Degree preferred)
• Required - 10+ years of professional experience
• Required - 5-7+ years of recent Healthcare Industry experience (Payer-side preference)
• Required - experience building a leadership team from the ground up
• Required - Cloud-native product development - greenfield scope
• Preferred: Microsoft Azure Infrastructure & Cloud-Native Product DevOps Strategy
