Job description

Medix's client is looking for Certified Pharmacy Technicians to work fully remote!! Apply if qualified and interested!

  • MUST be Certified within their state and Nationally (PTCB)
  • MUST have experience working in these states: NY, TX, OR and WI
  • MUST have 2+ years of Health plan/Insurance experience in a pharmaceutical-based position

Duration: Contract to hire - 800 hrs (5-6 months) before converting to full time employee status
Location: REMOTE
Pay: $20-22.50
Schedule: M-F 8 to 5 EST (with flexibility if needed)

Overview
The primary focus of this role is medical reconcilation and chart review. Duties include the following:
  • Assist in collecting a patient's medication history, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, dosages, routes, and frequencies.
  • Review medical charts, pharmacy records, and other relevant documents to compile a comprehensive medication list.
  • Identify potential discrepancies, such as omissions, duplications, or incorrect dosages.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or concerns to the pharmacist
  • Document the medication reconciliation process, including the sources of information, any discrepancies identified, and the actions taken.

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of CPhT experience
  • 2+ years of Pharmacy Billing experience
  • 3+ years of Health plan/Insurance experience
  • Active CPhT license/good standing with State Board of Pharmacy and National board (PTCB)
