Job description

Job Title: Surgical Coder

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Coder with expertise in Neuro & Spine, Orthopedic, Cardiac, General Surgery, Breast, and Vascular procedures. The role is 100% remote and requires proficiency in Epic Systems, along with the ability to accurately code using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Code surgical procedures in various specialties using CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes.
  • Use Epic Systems to review and assign accurate codes based on medical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, payer guidelines, and reimbursement standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to resolve coding issues.
  • Stay updated on coding changes and provide support for billing inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of surgical coding experience in Neuro & Spine, Orthopedic, Cardiac, General Surgery, Breast, and Vascular.
  • Proficient in Epic Systems.
  • CPC or equivalent certification required
  • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Work Environment:
100% remote position with flexible hours.
