Surgery Scheduler
Job description
Overview:
- Coordinating schedules for physicians to ensure hospital procedures are adequately covered while maintaining a good workflow
- Ensure all consent forms are completed and signed prior to scheduling procedures
- Scheduling of hospital inpatient and outpatient procedures and in office surgical procedures
- Authorization of inpatient and outpatient procedures
- Answering a large volume of incoming calls from patients, providers offices and insurance companies.
- Handling the providers EMR schedule as well as adding these to the outlook calendar for the providers.
Must Have Skills/Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of surgery scheduling experience
- HS Diploma
- Comfortable working on the phone and through different systems
Schedule/Shift:
Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
