Job description

Job Summary:

The Production Planner will oversee the planning and coordination of production activities to meet customer orders and delivery deadlines. Using Oracle ERP, this role ensures effective resource management, adjusts schedules based on production needs, and addresses supply chain challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage production schedules using Oracle ERP and Op Center to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Resolve capacity, supply, and demand issues while optimizing resources.
  • Coordinate with teams to align production schedules with customer needs, including raw materials and labor.
  • Track inventory, manage safety stock, and report variances.
  • Communicate production updates and ensure compliance with GMP and SOPs.
  • Manage daily schedules for custom and commercial products, ensuring timelines are met (10-30 days lead time).
  • Oversee the transition of raw materials to finished products and ensure smooth production flow.
  • Communicate and coordinate schedules for raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products across teams.
  • Primarily work on the production floor, ensuring schedules are executed and delivery timelines are met.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of production scheduling experience, preferably in a custom manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, Op Center) and production planning processes.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing tight timelines and high-priority, custom orders.
