Shipping and Warehouse Associate

Medix is seeking a dynamic individual to join a Shipping Team as a Shipping and Warehouse Associate. This position entails managing inventory, fulfilling customer orders, and assembling collection kits. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a commitment to excellence. While experience in the medical device or bioscience industry is preferred, it is not required. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3pm

Duration: 6 month contract to hire

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and conditions of shipments.
• Determine shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
• Be able to read customer orders written according to standard operating procedures.
• Use computer hardware and software to generate shipping labels.
• Ensure products processed for shipping are delegated to correct courier.
• Receive and inspect incoming raw materials as well as returned products.
• Assist in labeling and packaging.
• Monitor and recommend changes in work methods and/or equipment usage to improve labor utilization and production efficiency.
• Perform product Quality Control throughout the assembly processes.
• Responsible for monitoring and ensuring standards for production, quality, and housekeeping are met.

Must Haves:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing/assembly and shipping.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• High school diploma is required.
