Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

Medix is hiring for a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner in the Florissant area! This role will be in a Clinic setting and work a M-F 8:00-5:00 work week!

Role overview: The Obstetrical/Gynecological Nurse Practitioner is functioning in an expanded role and level of responsibility in the provision of primary care to obstetric clients, family planning clients and well women's gynecology clients and who has demonstrated advance knowledge and clinical skills after completion of a formal program of study developed jointly by nursing and medicine. Functions in People's Health Centers, Inc. under the supervision of a licensed M.D., OB/GYN Provider or Medical Director according to established protocol.

Job Duties:

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of Physician.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
• Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
• Discusses case with Physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
• Submits health care plan and goals of individual patients for periodic review and evaluation by Physician.
• Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
• Refers patients to Physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment. And more!

• Active Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner
