Job description

OB SUMMARY

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for answering incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate department or individual. They may also assist patients with scheduling appointments, providing information about services offered at the center, and addressing any concerns or complaints they may have. In addition, the scheduling coordinator may be responsible for maintaining patient records and updating information in the center's database. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential for this role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handling incoming calls from patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers and directing them to the correct department
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, answering questions
  • Understands and abides by HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Makes outbound calls to no-shows, reschedules, and confirms appointments
  • Data entry
  • Knowledge of Outlook and TEAMs
  • Works closely with internal departments to ensure scheduling guidelines are followed

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of call center / scheduling experience in healthcare setting
  • Ability to handle high call volume

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-9:30am start timr
