Sample Prep Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Sample Prep Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently and safely operate machinery to pulverize rocks into manageable sizes for subsequent analysis by our laboratory team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy machinery and a strong commitment to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Rock Handling: Lift and transport rocks to the machine using appropriate equipment and techniques.
2. Machine Operation: Operate crushing machinery to pulverize rocks into smaller, more manageable sizes.
3. Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on crushing equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
4. Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
5. Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of crushed materials to ensure they meet the required specifications for laboratory analysis.
6. Communication: Collaborate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow and address any issues that arise during the crushing process.
7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, production output, and any incidents or accidents that occur during operations.
