Job Description:
The RN Instructor will teach a Home Health Aide course and an Advanced Care Directives course. This position involves providing high quality education to ensure students acquire the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles. The RN Instructor will evaluate student performance and uphold educational standards.
- Use teaching methods to enhance learning and engagement.
- Conduct both classroom and practical training sessions, ensuring effective delivery of all course content.
- Demonstrate practical skills and techniques related to home health care and advanced care directives.
- Facilitate hands-on practice and simulation exercises to reinforce learning.
- Assess student performance through tests, quizzes, practical evaluations, and assignments.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their skills and knowledge.
- Offer additional support and resources to students needing extra assistance.
- Ensure all training programs comply with state and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Stay informed about updates in home health care practices, advanced care directives, and relevant legal requirements.
- Implement best practices for student safety and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and course evaluations.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by the institution or regulatory bodies.
- Assist with the recruitment and onboarding of new students.
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with nursing education trends.
- Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance professional skills.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of Home Care experience
- Associates/Bachelors in Nursing
- Strong personality/energy
Schedule/ Shift: Monday-Friday between the hours of 8am-6pm
