Job description

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Compensation and Benefit Analyst to join us, working remotely from the comfort of your home.

About the Role:

As a Compensation and Benefit Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in our Compensation & Benefit Team. Working closely with the Payroll/Benefits Manager in Pittsburgh, you'll ensure the accuracy of our C&B and payroll data, manage benefit enrollments and terminations, and support various audits. Your proactive communication and interactions with employees and managers will reflect our commitment to excellence and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Accuracy and Compliance:

    • Audit payroll records to ensure precision and compliance.
    • Reconcile payroll and quarterly tax filings.
    • Update local tax codes and set up new tax authorities as needed.
    • Validate data for accuracy and integrity.
  • Employee Benefits:

    • Enroll new employees in benefit programs.
    • Manage benefit terminations, including COBRA processing.
    • Prepare manual entries for leaves of absence and reconcile with state benefit sites.
    • Ensure timely submission of benefit elections each payroll cycle.
  • Financial and Audit Support:

    • Submit benefit expenses to Accounts Payable for approval.
    • Support audits with essential data and documentation.
  • Team Collaboration:

    • Actively participate in Compensation and Benefit Team projects.
    • Perform various tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
  • Experience with Workday and US-based pension and benefits programs preferred.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize important projects and adhere to data privacy policies.
  • Experience with HR information systems and maintaining privacy of sensitive information.

Work Environment:

  • Work from home, supporting US Payroll and Benefit time requirements (Eastern or Central time zones).
  • Start time at 8 am ET, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
