Pre Certification Specialist

We are seeking a Pre Certification Specialist to join a reputable healthcare consulting organization located in downtown Chicago!

Daily Responsibilities:

• Contact insurance providers to obtain any applicable authorization types prior to service.
• Obtains and / or coordinates with third-party payers authorizations for services.
• Document and update all authorizations obtained in health systems.
• Consistently perform and exceed departmental minimum expected productivity goals.
• Ability to complete registration and coverage verification, as necessary.
• Determines if patient is eligible for intended care at the facility.
• If necessary, contact patient to obtain correct insurance information, or inform patient of self-pay policy.

Schedule: M-F, 9:00-5:00 PM, Hybrid schedule: 1 week onsite/remote rotation

Requirements:

• Outpatient Prior Authorizations/Pre-Cert/Referrals Experience
• Strong Patient Access Experience from the authorizations, registration, etc. background
• Longevity in previous roles

Preferred Requirements:

• Epic experience
