Job description
Looking to hire an individual who has their certification in Phlebotomy. You can either be a Phlebotomy Tech, Medical Assistant, or have your certification in Phlebotomy. You will be doing about 3 or so blood draws a day. The other tasks will be documentation, donor screening, admin duties, etc. This is a 1st shift position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow SOPs and IRB Protocols; complete required training.
- Create a welcoming environment to boost donor retention; assist with recruitment activities.
- Conduct donor screening and pre-donation qualification.
- Maintain confidentiality with all personnel, donor, and site records.
- Prepare donors for procedures, perform phlebotomy, and handle donor disconnection post-procedure.
- Calibrate and maintain equipment and facilities.
- Process, label, and prepare units and samples for shipping.
- Manage supply levels and submit purchase requests as needed.
- Support interdepartmental communication for error reduction.
- Participate on the on-call team for temperature events.
Schedule:
M-F 7 am to 3:30 pm
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- 1+ year phlebotomy experience or relevant certification/education.
- Phlebotomy certification
- Can have experience as a Medcial Assistant or other position
