Work Location: Remote (CST Hours)
Travel: 5-10%
Compensation Range: $90,000 - $115,000 / year, depending on experience

ABOUT OUR CLIENT / ABOUT THIS ROLE

Our client is a Biotechnology company that specializes in the research and development of tests to screen for neurodegenerative conditions such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's Disease, Huntington's Disease, and others.


This role, a Network/Systems Administrator, will be reporting to the IT Director, and will be responsible for the day to day design, installation, maintenance, and documentation for their enterprise Windows / Microsoft 365 environment, along with access management and data backup / security.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Reporting to an IT Director
  • Overseeing the maintenance, configuration and operations of all corporate computer systems, network servers, and server virtualization components
  • Independently running small projects to design, install, maintain or document complex network environments
  • Managing and deploying both software and hardware upgrades
  • Testing and implementing system patches/ managing cutover windows
  • Troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, providing resolutions in a timely manner
  • Developing and maintaining a living document for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting processes
  • Executing the data backup and restoration processes, ensuring data integrity and availability
  • Implementing and monitoring security measures to protect data, software, and hardware
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and identity / access controls

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Required experience working in an FDA & HIPAA regulated industry (Biotech, Pharma, Healthcare, Medical Device, etc)
  • 5+ years hands-on experience
  • Strong technical experience with Microsoft 365 environments (O365, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, Active Directory /Entra, IAM, etc)
  • Strong Data Security fundamentals
  • Microsoft Certifications a plus
  • Experience partnering with 3rd party solutions providers and MSPs
