Clinical Research Phlebotomist Opportunity in Anaheim, CA (92801)

  • Position title: Phlebotomist/ Research Assistant
  • Shift / hours:
    • Monday- Friday, and some Saturdays for the opportunity to gain overtime
    • 7AM-3PM OR 8:30AM-4:30PM
  • Contract length: 6 month contract
  • Job description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our clinical research team. This role involves collecting and processing blood samples, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining compliance with research protocols and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to supporting groundbreaking medical research.
    • Blood Collection: Perform venipuncture and other phlebotomy techniques to collect blood samples from research participants, ensuring minimal discomfort and maximum participant satisfaction.
    • Sample Handling: Properly label, store, and transport biological specimens according to study protocols and laboratory standards.
    • Participant Interaction: Build rapport with participants, explain study procedures, and address concerns related to blood collection.
    • Data Documentation: Accurately record sample collection details in electronic or paper-based systems, maintaining meticulous data integrity.
    • Protocol Adherence: Follow study-specific protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ethical guidelines for clinical research.
    • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain phlebotomy tools, supplies, and equipment, ensuring readiness for use.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with research coordinators, nurses, physicians, and laboratory personnel to support seamless execution of clinical trials.
