Job description

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Pikeville, KY

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with relevant experience preferred. Registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy and National Certification (CPhT) are advantageous but not required. Responsibilities include preparing and distributing patient pharmacy orders to hospital departments and prescriptions to patients or their representatives. Additionally, the role involves maintaining inventory documentation and supporting departmental performance improvement initiatives. Successful candidates must possess strong communication skills, excel in customer service, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and be eager learners. This position operates on a 5x8 schedule, with shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Relevant experience preferred
  • Kentucky Board of Pharmacy Registration and National Certification (CPhT) advantageous but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute patient pharmacy orders to hospital departments/prescriptions to patients/representatives
  • Maintain inventory documentation and assist in departmental performance improvement
