Job description

We are hiring for Patient Access Representatives to join our specialized Opthalmology Practice in Bethel Park!

Please Note: This is an IN PERSON position

Title: Medical Front Desk

Hours: M-F Day Shift, No Weekends!

Pay: $18-21/hour

Overview:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and closing the office, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
  • Collecting pre-files, which are records from referring offices of patients, and organizing them efficiently.
  • Identifying urgent cases based on the provided information timeline for visits.
  • Managing the check-in and check-out process for patients with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Handling appointment scheduling and confirming appointments with patients.
  • Collecting payments, including copays and self-payments, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Background/Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Prior experience with check-in and check-out procedures in a medical or similar setting is essential.
  • A pleasant phone demeanor and excellent communication skills are crucial for interacting with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong computer skills are necessary for managing scheduling systems, patient records, and payment processing.
  • While previous experience in eye care is not required, a willingness to learn and adapt in a specialized medical environment is essential.
