Medicare Follow Up/Billing Representative

We are seeking a Medicare Follow Up Billing Representative to join a reputable healthcare consulting organization located in downtown Chicago!

Daily Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all assigned accounts are reviewed and that all payers remit payment in a timely manner.
• Ensure all eligible accounts are appealed within the designated payer time frames and documented appropriately in the patient accounting system.
• Coordinates the transfer and communication of accounts with insurance balances to the appropriate outside agency.

Schedule: M-F, 7:00-3:30 PM, 7:30-3:00 PM, 8:00-4:30 PM - Flexible hybrid hours

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years of hospital billing/follow up experience (No physician billing/follow up experience please)
• 2+ years of experience working with medicare and can answer basic Medicare questions
• Working knowledge of HB billing on UB/CMS claim form
• Follow up facility claims experience

Preferred Requirements:

• DDE experience
