Job description

Medix is working alongside a OB-GYN clinic in the Memorial City and the Katy area looking to add a Medical Scribe to their growing team! Are you looking for a new work environment and are eager to work alongside 1 provider? Apply today!

Job overview:

Locations: Memorial City area (zip: 77065) and Katy area (zip: 77094)

Pay range: $18-$20/hr

Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm or 5pm

3-5 must haves:

  • OB-GYN scribing experience
  • 1+ year of experience
  • Ability to float between both locations

Job duties:

  • Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms
  • Assist with walking, transfers, dressing, collecting specimens, preparing for exam.
  • Collect patient medical history and perform screenings per provider instructions.
  • Ensure treatment areas are safe, organized, clean, have well-functioning equipment, and supplies are adequate. Prepare treatment room for next exam after each patient.
  • Brief provider on medical history, reason for the visit, and any pertinent information needed for the exam.
  • Provides information / instructions to patients and their families.
  • Transcribe patient appointments.
  • Send/receive patient medical records and information.
  • Obtain lab/x-ray reports, hospital notes, and referral information.
  • Complete forms and requisitions as needed as well as manage patient charts to ensure information is complete.
