Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking a professional, highly-organized, and bilingual (English/Spanish) Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment while efficiently managing office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and helpful demeanor.
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and confirm patient appointments in both English and Spanish.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
  • Process patient billing and payments, and assist with insurance verification.
  • Assist in managing patient flow and ensure timely communication with medical staff.
  • Handle patient inquiries, providing information about services, procedures, and policies in both English and Spanish.
  • Maintain office supplies and assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the waiting area and reception desk.
  • Other duties as required by the healthcare team.

Shift schedule is 8-5, M-F, fully onsite at the office in Silver Spring, MD.
