Position Overview:

We are seeking a Medical Office Representative to join a fast-paced primary care clinic. The ideal candidate will have strong front office experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a high volume of phone calls while maintaining exceptional patient service.

Shift: Mon-Fri (8am-5pm)

Location: Santa Monica, CA

Pay: $23-$25/hr

Job Responsibilities:

  • Phone Management: Handle a large volume of incoming and outgoing calls, assisting patients with inquiries and appointment scheduling.
  • Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Greet patients, verify information, and ensure a smooth check-in/check-out process.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Book, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments as needed.
  • Message Routing: Direct messages between patients and providers, ensuring timely responses.
  • Prescription Refills: Process medication refill requests following office protocols.
  • Insurance Verification: Confirm insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits before appointments.
  • Copay Collection: Collect and process patient payments at the time of service.
  • EMR Utilization: Maintain and update electronic medical records (preferably EPIC experience).
  • Chart Management: Work with patient charts to ensure accurate and complete documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of medical front office experience, preferably in a busy clinic setting.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification, copay collection, and EMR systems (Epic preferred).
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills to handle high patient volume efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
