Location: Aurora, CO (fully on-site)

Salary: $30-$34/hour

About Us: Join our dynamic and growing healthcare team dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Manager to lead our billing department and ensure the accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided.

Job Summary: The Medical Billing Manager will be responsible for managing daily operations and supervising a team of medical billers. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of medical claims submission, oversee A/R reporting to physicians, negotiate insurance contracts, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's OR Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
  • Proven experience as a Medical Billing Manager with at least 4-5 years of medical billing office experience, including at least 3 years of medical billing supervisory experience (required)
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, CPT coding, and insurance guidelines
  • Proficiency with Excel Workbooks and Pivot Tables
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Experience in insurance contracting, including negotiation and review of all payer contracts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Preference for candidates with infusion billing experience

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations and supervise a team of medical billers
  • Oversee the submission of medical claims to insurance companies and payers, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided
  • Review and verify the accuracy of billing data and revise any errors with staff
  • Actively negotiate contracts with all payers for practice coverage of claims
  • Conduct oversight of the following billing department areas:
    • Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies following billing guidelines
    • Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframes
    • Research and appeal denied claims, manage all appeals and aging of accounts
    • Post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts
    • Verify patients' insurance coverage
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
