Job description

Medix is working alongside a growing cardiology clinic in the Greenway/Upper Kirby area looking to add on a Medical Assistant to their team.

Job Overview

Location: Greenway/Upper Kirby area (zip code: 77098)

Pay range: $20-22/hr (dependent upon experience)

Main job duties:

  • Rooming patients
  • Obtaining vitals
  • EKGs
  • Review medications
  • Patient concerns
  • Explaining to the provider the patients concerns (must be comfortable working closely with providers)
3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications
  • 2+ years in a cardiology office
  • Experience scheduling procedures in hospital setting (heart caths specifically)
  • EPIC EMR experience
  • Experience rooming patients, taking vitals, reason for visit and communicating facts to the provider
  • Previous experience conducting EKGs
  • Experience fielding/returning patient re scripts, symptoms, and documenting and triaging to MD when appropriate
