LPN

Looking for an LPN/ LVN passionate about a career in research/ oncology! No previous research experience needed but must be licensed in the state of Tennessee!

This role supports the research team in providing patient care. These duties include direct patient care, providing healthcare education to patients and families, and following established plan of care according to the research protocol. You will work in close collaboration with the RN and/or doctor to evaluate the patient's plan of care and progress toward goal attainment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Apply your skill set by utilizing IV therapy skills, cannulating veins, starting peripheral IV's, and accessing central lines. High patient volume in the oncology lab.
• Collaborates with patients/families and health care providers in the delivery of health care services.
• Partners with the healthcare team by following established plan of care to ensure patient progress for effective outcomes in the clinical trial.
• Support plans to promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
• Utilizes nursing skills and processes to identify participant and study problems and utilizes problem solving skills to identify solutions, following through to implement solutions, and assuring goals are met.
• Possesses a basic awareness of the Federal regulations governing the protection of human subjects, e.g., FDA, OHRP, GCP/ICH guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.
