Job description

Looking for a Formulations Laboratory Technician with basic laboratory experience. You can either be a recent grad in scientific field or have prior experience as a lab tech, QC chemistry or manufacturing of tested products.

This position involves handling various laboratory tasks, including preparing solutions, managing inventory, and assisting in the maintenance of sterile preparations. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, conducting routine lab calculations, and supporting the development of procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly motivated, and comfortable working independently or within a team. Flexibility is essential, as early morning and weekend shifts are required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, sample, and dispense dose formulations, including solutions and suspensions
  • Assist with more complex dose formulations with guidance
  • Receive, review, and reconcile test materials and reagents
  • Support the disposition of test and formulation materials
  • Accurately document and review raw data, maintaining thorough study records
  • Review protocols and offer feedback on formulations
  • Prepare and ship materials as required
  • Maintain laboratory cleanliness and restock supplies
  • Assist with study finalization and manage test material inventory
  • Cross-train in pharmacy operations, including dispensing controlled substances

Schedule:

  • M-F 7 am to 4:30 pm (can come in earlier if you would like)
  • Rotational weekends about twice a month for business needs
  • Would be paid OT for weekend work. Typically half days

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience in a regulated environment (animal research or similar) preferred
  • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment and practices
  • Basic math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
