Job description

Healthcare Billing Specialist (Temporary, 3-Month Contract)

Job Summary: As a Healthcare Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for a range of revenue operations activities, from benefits verification to payment collections, with a primary focus on insurance verification. Reporting to the Associate Manager of Billing, you will collaborate with various teams, including Customer Success, to ensure a high level of patient satisfaction. You'll be joining a dynamic, adaptable, and supportive team committed to accuracy and efficiency as you help clean up claim rejections and benefit verifications heading into the new year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review client benefit verification responses for accuracy.
  • Address and resolve client and provider billing inquiry escalations.
  • Reprocess and submit insurance claims for payment.
  • Verify insurance benefits for 100 accounts per day, focusing on submitting clean claims.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of benefits verification experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Solid knowledge of insurance plans, billing, and contractual arrangements affecting payments.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and intermediate Excel skills (including G Suite and Sheets).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (any time zone)

Contract Duration:

  • 3-month temporary position with the potential for additional projects or opportunities.
