Job Description:

ED Registrars are responsible for checking in patients, verifying demographic information, and getting as much information about the patient's insurance as possible. They will also be doing any pre-collections that they can on the front end. The team typically rotates between doing admitting and registration at the desk and bedside-- they will spend time at the front desk and on the move/walking around the ED. Candidates will be expected to work with urgency and be able to walk around the ED pretty frequently.

Other responsibilities:

Provide a range of services required to complete the registration activities of scheduled and walk-in patients seeking services in a variety of hospital inpatient, and outpatient settings including but not limited to the emergency room, diagnostic testing and procedures, and admissions to nursing units. Assist patients from time of presenting for care until hand-off to clinical staff for services.
