Dispensing/Pharmacy Tech
Job description
Medix is hiring for a Dispensing/Pharm Tech for a closed door pharmacy in the Lenexa, KS (66219) area!
*Working in a closed door pharmacy means pharmacy techs coming from retail no longer have to deal directly with patients/customers coming into the pharmacy.
*Dispensing is an on your feet production job. Think warehouse but for pills. In this role you are doing a lot of counting pills, scanning labels, printing labels, filling pill bottles. Have to be okay with being on feet and repetitive tasks!
Duties:
- Fill daily prescription orders: punch cards, bulk items, OTCs, compounding, cassettes, prepacks, etc.
- Stock and restock medication inventory
- Print daily orders for the pharmacy, and print labels and delivery sheets.
- Process daily shorts and punch card buckets.
- Reorder the bulks and shorts.
- Create and maintain the punch-card calendar and maintain the calendar board.
- Receive any incoming shipment of medication and handle all related paperwork.
Requirements:
- Must be KS licensed
Schedule:
Hours: M-F 9a-5:30p
